Garv's Easter Bunny

This tutorial was written for those who
have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro.
It was written by me on March 23, 2009 and comes from my own creativity.
Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidence
 

Supplies needed:

PSP 9 (any version will work)

Tube of choice.   I am using the gorgeous artwork of Keith Garvey

egg template (supplied)

Font of choice

Supplies:  Here
 

Open mask, minimize for now

  Open Easter Egg Template.  Duplicate and delete original. 

Select ellipse with magic wand, copy paper 1, paste as a new layer,
selections invert, hit del on keyboard. 

Select egg frame with magic wand, selections, modify, expand, expand by 1,
copy paper 3. paste as a new layer, selections invert, hit del on keyboard

In the layer palette delete the ellipse and frame template layers

Select Raster 1 in the layer palette, food fill with white

Add a new layer above Raster 1, flood fill with color #ff9ec7

Layer, New, Mask Layer from image.   Find the grungeframe2 Mask and apply with
invert mask data checked.  Layer, delete, yes to the question. And merge group

Open Bow 2, Image, Rotate, Free Rotate, Left by 90.  Image, Resize,
Resize by 90, then Resize by 95.  Copy, paste as a new layer toward lower
half of egg shape (see mine)

Copy main tube and paste as a new layer on left side of frame

Open Easter Basket and Eggs, resize by 80 3 times, copy, paste as a new layer to right lower.

Open flower 1, resize by 8o twice, then resize by 90, copy, paste as a new layer
(see mine for placement)

Open tag 2, resize by 80 percent 3 times, copy, paste as a new layer

With text tool on font of choice, stroke and fill white, vector, write message on tag,
convert to Raster.  Add name at bottom of tag if desired

Open chick.  Resize by 80 twice.  Copy paste as new layer if you do not desire animation.
(if you wish to animate the chick's eyes do not paste at this time)

Complete the following directions for both animated and non animated tags

Light drop shadow to each layer 0,0,40,7, black (no drop shadow on mask layer)

X out the bottom background layer if not animating.  Layers, Merge, Merge Visible

Image, Resize, Resize to 500 wide by 500 high

Add copyright layer

Layers Merge, Merge visible, save as a png file.  (For animated file Layers, Merge, Merge all, save as a psp file)

To animate the chick
 

Open the chick in PSP.  Resize by 80 percent 2 times

Layer, Duplicate.   Set foreground paint to #faea0f and with a tiny paint brush paint out the black eyes with yellow

Open animation shop, in psp copy first layer, and in animation shop paste as a new animation
Back to PSP, select second layer, copy, paste after current frame.

Edit, Select all, Animation, Frame Properties 60

Now open your tag in animation Shop.  Duplicate (2 frames in all)

Click on chick,  Edit, select all, edit copy, click on tag, Edit, Select all, Edit paste into selected file

Check your animation - save as a gif file

That's it!  You're done
