Gift from Santa
This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro. It was written by me on December 13, 2008 and comes from my own creativity. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidence
Supplies needed:
PSP X2 (any version will work) Tube of choice. I am using the fantastic artwork of Steve Baier. You can purchase his work at Up Your Art here Scrap Kit Jingle Bells Mini Kit by Seachells at Seachell's Scraps. Download here Tag Template 6 by Nicole at http://jbs2designs.blogspot.com (included in supplies) Mask: WSL_Mask 139. Get it here Plugin: Penta Dot and Cross here (optional) Font: Saginaw Medium Get it here
Supplies: Here
Open mask and template in Paint Shop Pro. Minimize mask
Duplicate template and close out the original. Delete Raster 4 and Copy of Raster 4
Select Raster 1, flood fill with white
Copy paper 3 from the kit, paste as a new layer.
Layers, new mask layer from image, find WSL_139 Mask and apply. Layer, delete, yes to the question. And merge group
X out all layers except circle. Select inside circle with magic wand. Selections, Modify, Expand by 1,
Copy Paper 3 from the kit, Paste as a new Layer.
Selections, Invert, hit del on keyboard.
Select circle frame with magic wand, selections, expand by 1, flood fill with color #7c0000
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel as follows
Layers, Merge Visible Raster 2 and Raster 4
Un X Raster 3, select shape with the magic wand, Selections, Modify, Expand by 1,
Copy Paper 5 from the kit, Paste as a new Layer.
Selections, Invert, hit del on keyboard.
Un X the vertical rectangle (copy of Raster 3), select with the magic wand, Selections, Modify, Expand by 1,
Copy Paper 5 from the kit, Paste as a new Layer.
Selections, Invert, hit del on keyboard.
Copy main tube and paste as a new layer
Copy Bow 2 from the kit, Resize as needed and paste as a new layer.
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow on each layer as follows
Add copyright layer.
Add name using white stroke width 1 and matching fill.
X out Raster 1
Resize to 500 X 500 pixels
Save tag as a png file.
