HOT CHEEKS

This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro.

It was written by me on May 7, 2009 and comes from my own creativity.  It is meant to be

simply a guide and you are free to make changes, add to or subtract from to make a tag

uniquely yours.  While I retain the copyright to the tutorial, any tag you make is your own

Supplies needed:

PSP 9 (any version will work)
Two tubes of choice.  I am using the fantastic artwork of
Jamie Kidd.  You can purchase her work  Here
Mask WSL_84 Mask Here
Attitude Word Art 5 by Missy Here
Font Jellyka - Estrya's Handwriting Here
Small Bow of Choice
Small Diamond

Plugins:

1.  Two Moons Plugins
2.  Photo Effex Scanlines

Unzip the plugins into your plugin folder

There are no supplies provided for this tutorial

Open a new image 600 X 600 pixels.  Flood fill with color white.  In the layer palette rename this layer background

In the materials palette set the stroke color to #c0c0c0 and the fill color to NULL
 

Click preset shapes and find rectangle.  Preferences as follows
 

View, Toolbars, Status to turn on the Status toolbar if it isn't on already. 
It will show in the bottom right corner of the paint shop pro screen like this

Draw out rectangle as follows. 

Note:  To make your rectangle exactly the same size as mine we'll use coordinates.  If you are not familiar with
using coordinates they are not difficult at all.  Here's how.  Move your preset shape tool (or required tool)
slowly back and forth and up and down on your canvas without clicking it.  If you look in the bottom right
hand corner of your PSP program you will see a set of numbers changing as you move your tool around. 
Those numbers are coordinates. (see above)  Line up your preset selection tool at the first set of coordinates
 given in the directions, then click then drag down and to the right till you find your second set of coordinates. 
Release to finish.

Set your rectangle preset beginning at coordinates (40, 100) drag down and to the right to (280, 500).  Layer, Convert to Raster Layer.  Rename this layer rectangle. 

Click preset shapes and find ellipse.  Preferences as shown above for rectangle

Draw out a circle with the following coordinates (560. 100) and left to (230, 430).  Layer, Convert to Raster Layer. 
Rename this layer circle

Select the rectangle border with the magic wand.  Selections, Modify, Expand, Expand by 1.  Add a new layer,
 flood fill border area with black.  Rename this layer rect border

Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel as follows

Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow as follows

Select the circle frame (rename in layer palette) and repeat all the layers done on the rectangle border.

Drag the circle and circle frame layers below the rectangle layers

Save image at this point and remember to save often

Open a new image 450 pixels by 450 pixels

Select your text tool at these settings

stroke null, fill black.  Fill the canvas with the word hotcheeks, space hotcheeks  space as shown

Using the selection tool set on rectangle, select the area inside the rectangle frame,
Selections, Modify, Expand by 1, copy word art, paste as a new layer.
Arrange as desired, selections, invert, hit delete on your keyboard.  Name this layer

Using the selection tool set on ellipse, select the area inside the ellipse frame,
Selections, Modify, Expand by 1, copy word art, paste as a new layer.
Arrange as desired, selections, invert, hit delete on your keyboard.  Name this layer

Arrange the layers in the layer palette like this

Click on rectangle layer.  Flood fill with color #ff9de2.   Effects, Plugins, Two Moon, Paper Fold
 

Effects, Plugins, PhotoEffex, Scanlines, as follows

Click on circle layer.  Flood fill with color #fee5bb.   Effects, Plugins, Two Moon, Paper Fold,
at settings above.

Repeat Photo Effex as above.

Add a new layer above background, flood fill with color #fee5bb

Layers, new mask layer from image, find WSL_84 Mask and apply. 
Layer, delete, yes to the question.  Merge group. 

Click inside circleborder, selections, modify, expand 3. copy face tube,
paste as a new layer.  Resize and mirror if desired.  Selections, Invert, Selections, Float,
Selections, Defloat, Using the eraser tool erase all selected excess tube at the bottom of frame.
Change Blend Mode to Luminance Legacy

Click inside rectangle border, selections, modify, expand 3. copy main tube,
paste as a new layer.  Resize and mirror if desired.  Selections, Invert, Selections, Float,
Selections, Defloat, Using the eraser tool erase all selected excess tube at the bottom of frame.
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow as before

Open Word Art 5 by Missy

X out the background and credits layer.

With the magic wand select the word innocent

Flood Fill with color #ff9de2

Selections, Modify, Expand by 3

New layer below this layer and fill with black.  Deselect

Effects, Plugins, Photo Effex, Scanlines as above

Layers, Merge Visible, Edit, Copy, Edit paste, as a new layer on tag.

Drop Shadow

Resize to 500 pixels by 500 pixels

Copy, paste as a new layer bows and diamonds as shown
or decorate as you wish

Add copyright layer

Add name

That's it!  You're Done
