This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP
Supplies needed: PSP 12 (any version will work) Tube of choice. I am using the fantastic artwork of Barbara Jensen. You can purchase her art work HERE You need a license to use her art and that can be obtained at the same URL Paid Scrap Kit "Linen, Lace and Love" by JUST A GIRL'S DESIGNS Blinds Mask by Moni (included in supplies) Silver animation if desired (supplied) Font of choice (I used Maiandara) Supplies: HERE
Open tube and mask and minimize them for now. Open scrap kit. Open a new transparent image 550 x 550 pixels and flood fill with white. Choose a background paper from your kit, copy and paste as a new layer (I used background 9) Layers, new mask layer from image, find Moni's Blinds mask and apply, invert checked. Layer, delete, yes to the question. And merge group Copy the wooden heart frame from the scrap kit, and paste as a new layer. Click inside the heart frame with the magic wand tool. Selections, Modify, Expand by 5. Resize a second paper to 550 pixels X 550 pixels and paste as a new layer. Selections, Invert, Hit delete on the keyboard. Drag this layer below the heart frame layer. Apply a drop shadow on wooden heart layer. I used 2,-2,70,7 Copy the wooden heart frame again and paste as a new layer. Resize by 50 percent, and then by 80 percent. Move to lower left of main heart (see my tag for placement), Image, Rotate, Free Rotate, Left, 16. Layer, Duplicate, mirror. When placed as you like X out all layers except the two small hearts, Layers, Merge visible. Make all layers visible. Click inside the two small heart frames with the magic wand tool. Selections, Modify, Expand by 5. Resize another paper to 550 pixels X 550 pixels and paste as a new layer. Selections, Invert, Hit delete on the keyboard. Drag this layer below the heart frame layer. Apply a drop shadow as before on wooden hearts layer. Copy leaves image from the scrap kit and paste as a new layer. Resize by 20 percent and then by 80 percent 2 times. Arrange on left side of tag (don't worry about it being on top.) We'll drag it below after. Duplicate this layer and mirror. When placed as you like X out all layers except the two small leaves layers, layers, Merge visible. Drag this layer below the heart frame layer. Click inside your large wooden heart frame with your magic wand. Open your tube, resize and mirror if necessary. Place on frame. See my tag for placement. Selections, Invert, Selections, Float, Selections, Defloat. With your eraser tool erase all extraneous tube at the bottom of the heart frame. Let the top of the tube expand above the wooden frame. Drop Shadow same settings as before. Copy lace wrap green and paste as a new layer, Resize by 80 percent. Place with the knot of the bow on the left lower part of wooden heart frame (see my tag) Trim off the excess bow on right side using your freehand selection tool. Be sure to leave enough bow to cover the frame on the right. Drop shadow as before. Choose 3 contrasting flowers. Resize each to look about the size of mine in the tag. Copy, paste to top left frame. Arrange as you please, moving layers up or down as desired. X out all layers except the flower layers, layers, merge visible, drop shadow as before. Layer, Duplicate, Image, Mirror. Arrange. Drop shadow as before. Copy butterfly of choice from scrap kit, paste as a new layer, resize, Image rotate. left by 12. Drop shadow as before. Place where you like. Do this 3 more times rotating either left or right as you please adding a total of 4 butterflies. Copy the clip of choice and paste as a new layer. Resize , rotate and place on outer part of left small heart. Layer, Duplicate, Image, Mirror, arrange on right small heart. Drop shadow as before on each layer. Image Resize all layers to 500 x 500 pixels or size of choice Add copyright layer at this time. I use the font Arial, at either 8 or 9, stroke nil, and fill a dark color of choice
Choose a dark color from the tube as
both foreground color
background color. On left small heart write the words Live,
Laugh, Love. Rotate,
Selections, promote selection to layer. Drop shadow Layers, Merge visible Save tag as a jpg. If no animation is desired you’re done. Thank you for trying my tut
Animation Animation for this tag is super simple Open your jpg tag in PSP Animation Shop, Duplicate until there are 3 frames total Open babywhite sparkle animation (note it also has 3 frames Click on sparkle, Edit, Select All, Edit copy Click on tag. Edit, Select all, Edit, Paste into selected frame, wherever you want to see the sparkle. Add as many of these sparkles as you would like Save tag as a gif animation file. You’re done!
