This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro. It was written by me on January 3, 2009 and comes from my own creativity. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental
Supplies needed: PSP X2 (any version will work) Tube of choice. I am using the fantastic artwork of Jennifer Janesko. To use her work you must purchase a license which you may get at CILM Here Blindsmask1 by Monti. Get it Here Diamond and wrap bow are mine and are supplied

Open a new image 700 pixels by 700
pixels high We are going to use coordinates to
make the heart wreath. If you are not familiar with
coordinates they are quite easily used.
Set the colors in your paint pallette, both stroke and fill to a light grey color. For this tutorial set your coordinates to (30, 30) then across and down to the right to coordinates (160, 160) Objects, Align, Center in Canvas. Convert to a raster layer. Image, Canvas Size as follows
Effects, Plugins, Mura Meister, Copies at the following settings
Hit OK Select Raster 2 in your layer
palette. Layers, Resize as follows. Make sure Resize all
layers is not checked.
Choose 2 colors that are in your tube to color the hearts. For mine I chose #babbcd and #cd5157 Click on the gradient in the material palette
and choose the following settings in the gradient panel
With your magic wand tool click
hold down your shift key and click inside each heart. (it is
ok if 2 or 3 hearts select at the same time) Do Not Deselect. Effects, Texture Effects, Weave, as follows
Deselect. Effects, 3D effects, Drop Shadow as follows
Open your diamond, Copy and paste one as a new layer centered on the vector line (Vector 1 in the Layers Palette). Right click on this layer in the layer palette and choose duplicate. Image, Mirror. Duplicate again, Mirror, Flip. Duplicate again, Image mirror. Then carefully place another diamond and do the same. Continue until there is a diamond between each set of hearts as shown. Drag the Vector 1 Layer below the Raster 2 Layer in the Layer Palette. R click on Vector Layer, convert to raster X out the 3 bottom layers on the Layer Palette (only the diamonds are left showing), click on Raster 3 in the Layer Palette. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize as desired. I chose
Select Raster 6 (the layer that was converted to a raster layer from a vector layer) with your magic wand. Flood fill with color #cbcef5. Effects, Plugins, Filter Factory V, Ommadawn
X out the diamonds layer and background. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible the remaining 2 layers. (Be sure that one of these layers is selected on the layer palette) Using your freehand selection tool select all around the bottoms of the hearts like mine
Copy main tube, paste as a new layer, selections, invert, selections, float, selections, defloat. Now use the eraser tool to erase the selected bits at the bottom. Leave the top as is Effects, Plugins, Xero, Porcelain, as follows
Select bottom layer on layer palette, flood fill with white Add a new layer above that layer and flood fill with color #022a66 Open Montisblinds Mask 1. With your crop tool crop off most of the white surrounding the mask. Layers, New Mask Layer, Find the montisblinds1 mask, invert raster checked and apply. Delete Mask in Layer palette, yes to the question, and merge group. Select diamonds layer on the Layer Palette, Image, Resize by 95 percent, Resize all layers, not checked. Effects, 3D, Drop Shadow, as before. Add bits as desired to decorate. Drop shadow as before after each addition Image, Resize all layers to 500 pixels by 500 pixels Add copyright information Add name. I used white stroke, and color #022a66 fill, font Iskola, at That's it! You're Done Hope you enjoyed this tutorial
