PINK HEARTS

This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro.

It was written by me on May 7, 2009 and comes from my own creativity.  It is meant to be

simply a guide and you are free to make changes, add to or subtract from to make a tag

uniquely yours.  While I retain the copyright to the tutorial, any tag you make is your own

Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidence

Supplies needed:

PSP 9 (any version will work)
Tube of choice.  I am using the fantastic artwork of
Elias Chatzoudis.  You can purchase his work, and a license to use it  Here

Miggs_Mask 7 by Lilith Here

Template 20 by Rachel Scraps of Enchantment  Here

Scrap Kit "Lollipop of Love" by Seachell  Here

Font of Choice

Plugins: Penta Color Dot Here

There are no supplies provided for this tutorial

Open template.  Duplicate and delete original.  Open mask and font,
minimize for now
 

In the layer palette X out layers as shown below

Select Blk Circle as shown.  Open paper of choice (I used paper 4) from the kit.  Image, Resize to 500 X 500 pixels

Select the black circle with the magic wand tool, Selections, Modify, Expand by 1,

Copy paper, paste as a new layer.  Selections, Invert, Hit Delete on the keyboard.  Select None

X out the blk circle and Raster 1, Un X Scallop Layer in the layer palette.  Flood fill scallop

with black. 

Effects, Plugins, Color Dot, as follows

Select frame in the layer palette, click inside of frame with magic wand, selections, Modify, Expand
by 1, flood fill with color black.  Deselect

Select Rectangle 1 in the layer palette, click inside of frame with magic wand, selections, Modify, Expand
by 1, flood fill with color #f09eb0. 

Effects, Texture Effects, Weave, at these settings

Select Rectangle 2 in the layer palette, click inside of frame with magic wand, selections, Modify, Expand
by 1, flood fill with color #f09eb0. 

Texture Effects, Weave as above

Open all layers now except the 2 flower layers, the drop shadow layer and copyright layer

Select frame layer in layer palette.  Using the selection tool, rectangle increase the width of left
side of frame like so

Paint black,  Effects, Plugins, Color Dot as above for the scallop.

Open flower clip (element 24)  Resize by 50 percent and then by 80 percent.  Copy,
paste as a new layer.  Image, Rotate, Free Rotate, Right by 30.  See my tag for placement

Un X the 2 flowers layers and the drop shadow layer.  Drag Raster 3 (tube layer) above them

Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow on  the tube as below

X out Raster 3 in the layer palette

Open heart desired ( used element 12)  Image resize by 50 percent 3 times, then by 80 percent twice.
Adjust sharpness, Sharpen

Copy heart and paste as a new layer in the black area between rectangles.  Do the same with 4 more hearts spacing evenly.
(see mine)  X out all layers except the the 5 heart layers.  Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
Layer Duplicate, Image, Mirror...move to black area at the end of the frame.  Do again and line up at opposite end (see
mine for placement.  Drop shadow as before on each layer.

Open bow of choice from kit (I used element 3), copy and paste as a new layer.  Resize this
layer by 80 percent twice.  Image, Rotate, Free Rotate, Left by 24

Highlight Background in the layer palette, Layers, Add a new Raster Layer, Flood fill with
color #60222f.  Layers, new mask layer from image, find Miggs Mask 7 in the dropdown and apply,
Source Luminance Selected, Invert Mask Data not checked  Layer, delete, yes to the question and apply.

 In the materials palette make both stroke and fill color #f7f1f1.
Type name as shown, convert to Raster Layer.  Drop Shadow as before

Resize if desired.  I left mine the same size.

Add copyright information

X out white background layer.

Save as a png image.

That's it!  You're Done
