PRETTY IN PUNK

This tutorial was written for those who

have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro.

It was written by me on August 2, 2008, and any similarity to an already

published tutorial is strictly coincidental

Supplies needed:

PSP 12 (any version will work)

Tube of choice.  I am using the fantastic artwork of

Elias Chatzoudis.  You can purchase his work at MPT here

FTU Scrap kit “Pretty in Punk” from Bluey  at

Blue Dream Designs.   Download the kit Here

Free to Use Mask  (included in supplies)

Plugin Mura's Copies.  Download it Here

Font of choice (I used ChickleST - included)

Supplies:  Here

Open tube and mask and minimize them for now.  Open scrap kit.

Open a transparent image 600 x 600 pixels.  Open BD-Pretty in Pink Skull Sticker1.
Image, Resize by 50 percent twice.  Copy, Paste into blank canvas

Effects, plugin effects, Mura's Meister, Copies at the following settings

(Note:  I have included a completed frame in the supplies for those wanting to skip this step)

Click OK.  Resize to 480 X 480 pixels

Open a new image 600 X 600 pixels.  In the materials palette make the foreground color #f181a9 and the background color #d2216c

Choose gradient in the foreground color at these settings

Click Ok

Effects, Texture Effects, Weave, at following settings

Gap Size  2
Width      2
Opacity    8
Weave Color  Black
Gap Color  White
Fill gap checked

Layers, new mask layer from image, find the sc-edge085 mask and apply. 

Layer, delete, yes to the question. And merge group

Image, Resize, Resize all layers to 500 X 500 pixels

 Copy, paste the frame you made as a new layer

 Apply a drop shadow. Effects, 3D Effects Drop Shadow with these settings

Vertical   5

Horizontal   5

Opacity   50

Blur   5

Color   Black

With the magic wand select inside the frame layer.  

Selections, Modify, Expand by 8, flood fill with white  Layer, Duplicate

Effects, Texture, Weave.  Same as above but with both colors #f181a9

Copy, paste your tube of choice as a new layer.  Resize as needed. 

Selection Invert,Selections Float, Selections Defloat

With eraser tool (size doesn't matter) erase the selected area at bottom of tube

Selections, Select None.

Drop Shadow as before

Open Pretty in Punk Key Ring of choice.  Duplicate and delete the original. 

Using your freehand selection tool carefully select the large ring at the top, Selections, Delete

Copy and paste as a new layer to top left of tag (see mine for placement) 

Layer, Duplicate, Layers, Mirror

Open Pretty in Punk bow 4.  Resize by 70 percent.  Copy and paste as a new layer.
Image, Rotate, Free Rotate, Left 18.  Place as shown  Drop Shadow as before on each layer

Open Pretty in Punk T shirt.  Resize by 50 percent twice.  Copy, Paste as a new layer.
Image, Rotate, Free Rotate, Right by 18

Open  purse.  Resize by 50 percent twice.  Copy, paste as a new layer.

X out all layers except the t shirt and purse layers, layers, merge, merge visible

Layer Duplicate, Image, Mirror
 

Add copyright and licensing information

Using white in the foreground and #d2216c as background

Open font I provided or one of your choice add name to tag

Layers, Merge, Merge All 

File, export as a jpg.
