SUMMER RAYS
This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP
Supplies needed:
PSP 12 (any version will work) Tube of choice. I am using the fantastic artwork of Elias Chatzoudis. You can purchase his work at MPT here Two Masks - 155 (I do not know the designer for this. If it is yours please let me know. and cat032 (both included in supplies) Free scrap kit “Love Springs Eternal” from Laelani at Inspired to Dream Scraps. You can download it HERE Sparkle animation if desired (supplied) Fonts of choice (I used Avalanche and Ealing (supplied) Eye Candy 4000 or other gradient glow effect

Open tube and mask and minimize them for now. Open scrap kit.
Open a new transparent image 500 x 500 pixels and flood fill with white
Choose a bright yellow paper from your kit, resize, copy and paste as a new layer
Layers, new mask layer from image, find the 155 mask in the dropdown and apply. Layer, delete, yes to the question. And merge group
Image, Canvas Size, 600 X 600. Top 15, bottom 85, left 15, right 85
With Raster 1 selected flood fill with white
Resize, copy and paste one of the orange papers as a new layer. X out the yellow layer for now.
Layers, new mask layer from image, check invert, find the cat32 mask in the dropdown and apply. Layer, delete, yes to the question. And merge group. Un X yellow layer.
Select yellow layer again. In materials palette choose a matching yellow for the foreground and background. With your preset shape set on ellipse, width 2, draw an ellipse to fill circle area where "rays" meet
X out Raster 1 and the first Group Raster 2 (orange) on the layer palette. Layers, merge visible the remaining two layers
You should have 3 layers. Raster 1 is white. Middle group is orange and top group is yellow'
Change the background color in the materials palette to de4132. Select the yellow layer. Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000, Gradient Glow. 10.31, 50, 100, Draw only outside selection checked. OK
Select the middle (orange) layer. Effects, Texture Effects, Blinds, 5, 40, with horizontal and light from left top both checked, okay.
Copy, paste your tube as a new layer. See my tag for placement. Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow 0,0,35,7
Open yellow flowers. Resize single flower by 50 percent 3 times. Place flower in model's hair. Drop shadow as before.
Open peach flowers. Select the flower group. Resize by 50 percent. Copy, paste as a new layer. Duplicate, mirror. Arrange so they cover tube's knees, then drag under the tube layer. Back to flower group, resize by 80 percent more and flip. Copy paste as a new layer and arrange as shown. Repeat one or two times more and arrange as you like
Resize peach belt to 600 pixels wide. Resize heart by 50 percent twice. Copy, paste heart on center of belt. With your crop tool carefully select the heart area that is over the ribbon and delete. Merge visible. Copy and paste as a new layer. Image rotate, free rotate, left, 45. Arrange in top left corner. Layer Duplicate, Image, flip. Image mirror.
In the layer palette merge visible Raster 1 and Group Raster 2. Skip next (yellow) merged layer, and merge visible next flower layers up to but not including tube. Skip tube layer, layers, merge visible remaining flower layers including hair flower. Merge 2 corner belt layers visible.
Add copyright information at this time
Change the color of both foreground and background colors in the material palette to #de4132. Using Ealing font at 48 type the words "Summer Rays" Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow, same as before but change blur to 1
Change font to Avalanche, add name, drop shadow as before.
Save tag as a jpg
If no animation is desired you’re done! Thank you for trying my tut!

Animation
Open your jpg tag in PSP Animation Shop
Open babywhite sparkle
Duplicate tag until there are 3 frames
Click on baby white, Edit, Select All, Edit copy
Click on tag. Edit, Select all, Edit, Paste into selected frame
Add as many of these sparkles as you would like
Save tag as a gif animation file.
