SEXY SANTA
This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro. It was written by me on November 20, 2008 and comes from my own creativity. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidence
Supplies needed:
PSP X2 (any version will work) Tube of choice. I am using the fantastic artwork of Bam Bam. You can purchase his work at MPT here Mask 4 by Serina - included Tree by Sandi - included Bow from the FTU scrap kit Christmas Tresures by www.simplysensationalscraps.blogspot.com - included Snowman by Rainbow Coffi www.psp-playground.com - included Font of choice (I used Copperplate Gothic Bold) Filters: Eye Candy 3.1
Supplies: HERE
Open tube and mask and minimize them for now. Open images and minimize.
Open a new image 600 pixels wide by 600 pixels high. We will resize later. Flood fill with white.
Add a new layer, flood fill with green #376308
Layers, new mask layer from image, find Mask by Serina 4 and apply. Layer, delete, yes to the question. Merge group.
Add a new layer, flood fill with red #9d0c1b
Layers, new mask layer from image, find Mask by Serina 4 and apply. Layer, delete, yes to the question. Merge group. Images Rotate, free rotate, left by 90
Make a heart frame using preset shapes, heart 1, foreground green, background null, line width 36, coordinates 80x,80y, then 525x and 525y. Convert to raster layer If you haven't used coordinates before they are easy. Here's how. Move your freehand selection tool (or required tool) slowly back and forth and up and down your image without clicking it. If you look in the bottom right hand corner of your PSP program you will see a set of numbers changing as you move your tool around. Those numbers are coordinates. Line up your preset selection tool at the first set of coordinates then drag down and to the right till you find your second set of coordinates.
Select heart frame with magic wand. Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 3.1, Glass with the following settings
Select inside heart frame with magic wand. Open
your main tube. Copy, paste as a new layer. Selections, Invert, Selections,
Float, Selections, Defloat. Using the eraser tool carefully
erase the unwanted tube bits (at bottom), Selections, None,
Copy, paste tree as a new layer to left side of main tube (see mine). Drop shadow as before.
Copy, paste bow as a new layer to upper right heart. drop shadow
Copy and Paste snowman to right side. Drop shadow. top. Duplicate this layer 2 times.
Add name to bottom of tag using stroke 2, white and red as fill (see my tag) Drop shadow as before
Image Resize all layers to 500 x 500 pixels or size of choice
Add copyright layer.
