Spring Promise

This tutorial was written for those who

have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro.

It was written by me on March 16, 2009 and comes from my own creativity.

Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidence

Supplies needed:

PSP 9 (any version will work)

Tube of choice.   I am using the fantastic artwork of

Pinuptoons.  You can purchase his work and a license to use it  Here

Floral Template by Kittz at Kittz Kreationz.  (supplied)

Animated butterflies from Peachies Creations  (supplied)

Font of choice (I used Monotype Corsiva, a Windows font

Supplies:  here

  Open template.  Duplicate and close out the original.

In the layer palette X out the TOU layer on the template. X out
all the layers except the rectangle layer and the background layer.

Select rectangle, Selections, Modify, Expand by 1, copy paper of choice,
paste as a new layer.  Selections, Invert, Hit Del on the keyboard. 
Delete rectangle layer, X out Raster 2 layer

Effects, 3D effects, drop shadow as follows
2, -2, 60, 5, black

Select circle layer in the layer palette, Selections, Modify, Expand by 1,
copy paper of choice, paste as a new layer.  Selections, Invert, Hit Del on the keyboard. 
Delete circle layer, X out Raster 3 layer.  Drop shadow as before

Select scalloped edge frame in the layer palette , Selections, Modify, Expand by 1,
copy paper of choice,paste as a new layer.  Selections, Invert, Hit Del on the keyboard. 
Delete frame layer, X out Raster 4 layer.  Drop shadow as before

Select rectangle black in the layer palette, Selections, Modify, Expand by 1, copy paper of choice,
paste as a new layer.  Selections, Invert, Hit Del on the keyboard. 
Delete frame layer, X out Raster 5 layer.  Drop shadow as before

Select Flower & Stem in the layer palette, Selections, Modify, Expand by 1, copy paper of choice,
paste as a new layer.  Selections, Invert, Hit Del on the keyboard. 
Delete frame layer, X out Raster 5 layer.  Drop shadow as before
Alternately you can select the flower and stitches and paint as desired.

Do the small black flowers, the small grey flowers, and the small flowers in the same manner

Copy fresh wrapped ribbon, paste as a new layer.  Drop shadow as before.

Copy main tube.  Paste as a new layer. Resize if needed.  Drop shadow

Copy miscellaneous tubes desired from the kit, paste each as a new layer.  Resize as necessary.
Drop shadow as before

  With font of choice and white stroke and fill, write the Spring message as shown.  Drop Shadow as before

Add name

Layers, Merge, Merge All

Resize to 480 pixels wide by 480 pixels high

Add copyright layer

Layers Merge, Merge all

Animation if Desired

Open tag and butterfly animation in animation shop

Duplicate the tag till there are 15 frames, the same as in the butterfly

Click on the butterfly animation, Edit, Select all, Edit, Copy

Click on the tag frames

Edit, Select all, Edit, Paste Into selected frame where decided

Add another butterfly in same manner

That's it!  You're done
