Lucky Charm

This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro,
meaning a basic knowledge of where the tools and palettes are located and how to use them with direction.
It is meant to be used as a guide and changes can be made by you as desired.

To do this tutorial you will also need Paint Shop Pro. I wrote this with Paint Shop Pro IX,
but the steps can be done in any version. You may download a free trial at Corel.

Remember to save as a psp file often!

You'll need

3 or 4 tubes of  choice by the same artist.  I am using the never ending
gorgeous work of Keith Garvey.  You need a license to use his work and you can get it
and purchase the tubes at MPT Here

Open template and mask.  Minimize mask for now and
duplicate template and close out the original, and working on the copy,  image, resize, canvas resize to 600 X 600

In layer palette convert  background to raster,  Flood fill with white

Copy paper 1 from the kit and paste as a new layer

Layers, new mask layer from image, find mask WSL_143 in the dropdown and apply,
Source Luminance Selected, Invert Mask Data not checked 
Layer, delete, yes to the question and apply. Delete Mask Layer, merge group

With the magic wand select the clover,  Change foreground paint to #286c16
and flood fill with green color.  Do not deselect.  Selections, modify selections,
expand by 5, add a new layer, drag below the green layer,  change the foreground
to pattern and load with gold foil pattern.  Flood fill.

Open the word art from the kit, hide bottom 2 layers, merge visible the top 2 layers,
resize by 80 % 2 times, paste to shamrock as shown. Effects, 3D effects,  drop shadow1, 1, 80, 0

Select the big rectangle with the magic wand. Selections, Modify, expand by 1.  Copy and Paste paper 2. 
Selections, Invert, Delete.

Select upper and lower long stripe with the magic wand, copy and paste paper 6.  Select, invert, Delete.

Select center long stripe of the 3 long stripes at the bottom  with the magic wand,  Copy, paste paper 4
Select, invert, Delete.

Open JDD StPatricksDayPartyFavorsSampler3,  resize by 80 percent 2 times,  copy, paste to right side
 as shown, Effects, drop shadow as above.
 
Open element 4 shamrock corner. resize by 80 percent,  copy and paste to left top corner.

Open main tube, copy, paste as a new layer, resize or mirror as necessary.  Effects, Drop Shadow, 5.5.50,5 black

Open bow,  resize by 80 percent 3 times.   Copy and paste to sham corner as shown,
image rotate, free rotate, this layer only, left 35

Duplicate bow layer,  image mirror,  place on party favor as shown

Select 3 frame squares with magic wand.  Flood fill each with gold foil pat

Select 3 squares.   Copy, paste paper 3, Selections, Invert, Delete

Select square 1 again, copy head shot tube, copy and paste as a new layer, select, invert, delete.

Repeat this in the second and third squares with different tubes

Hide the bottom layer and credits layer

Open word art  "lucky charm"  Select with magic wand and flood fill with color #286c16

Selections, modify, expand by 2, add a new layer below word and fill gold foil pattern. 
With the sections tool move the gold layer slightly and above the green layer

Add name with color #fcf3b2

Add copyright layer

Save as a png file
