Sweet Irish colleen

This tutorial was written for those who

have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro.

It was written by me on March 3, 2009 and comes from my own creativity.

Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidence

Supplies needed:

PSP 9 (any version will work)

Tube of choice.   I am using the fantastic artwork of
Keith Garrvey.  You can purchase his work and a license to use it  Here

St Patricks Glittter alpha by Jada

My shamrock template - included

  Open shamrock.  Resize to 600 X 600 pixels

Select the shamrock by clicking inside of it with magic wand, Selections, Modify, Contract by 72. 

Add a new layer

Fill center with green color #008000

Effects, Texture Effects, Weave

3, 15, 22, white, fill gaps checked

Add new layer, drag to bottom. X out then merge visible 2 remaining layers

Select the shamrock by clicking inside of the black area with magic wand,

 Selections, Modify, Contract by 16. 

Keep selected and duplicate this layer 2 times

Open animation shop, and open the fritillary animation.  (there will be 3 frames).  Edit, select all

File, save frames as (choose a place you can remember on your computer)

Then in paint shop, file, open, browse to where you saved the frames and open all 3 on your desktop

X out the first and second merged copy, select the merged copy

Open fritillary tile 1 in patterns and flood fill between black trim (including the stem)

X out this layer and un x the next copied layer, change the pattern to tile 2, and flood fill

 X out this layer and un x the next copied layer, change the pattern to tile 3, and flood fill

Un x all layers

Edit, Copy main tube, paste as a new layer

Copy tiny bow and paste as a new layer to left side as shown.  Image, Rotate, Free Rotate by 12

Duplicate this layer and mirror.  Move in place as shown

To do the name open a new image 1200 pixels wide (or wider depending on the name), and 300 pixels high

Select the letters needed , copy, paste each as a new layer, move into place. selections, merge, merge visible

Image Resize, Resize to 400 X 300 pixels or size needed

Copy, paste as a new layer

Drag below tube layer

Image, Resize all layers to 500 X 500 pixels

Add copyright layer

Open Animation Shop

X out the copy of merged and copy 2 of merged

In PSP Edit, Copy Merged, and in Animation Shop paste as a new animation

Back to PSP, X out the merged layer and Un X the Copy of Merged Layer.  Edit, Copy Merged, and in Animation Shop paste as
after current frame

Back to PSP, X out the Copy 1 merged layer and Un X the Copy2 Merged Layer.  Edit, Copy Merged, and in Animation Shop paste as
after current frame.

Three frames in all.  View your animation

That's it!  You're done
