Leprechaun


 

This tutorial was written for those who

have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro.

It was written by me on March 4, 2009 and comes from my own creativity.

Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidence

 

Supplies needed:

PSP 9 (any version will work)

Tube of choice.   I am using the fantastic artwork of

Keith Garvey.  You can purchase his work and a license to use it  Here

Irish Charm free to use scrap kit by Bluedream Designs.  Get it Here

WSL Mask 84 by Chelle - get it here

Font of choice (I used Celtic Hand , available Here)

Outside Filters:  Photo Effex Scanlines (optional)


Supplies: none provided 
 

Open a new image 700 pixels wide by 500 pixels high, flood fill with white

Resize a light colored paper to 700 X 700 pixels (I used paper 8), copy, paste as a new layer

Layers, New Mask Layer from image, select the WSL_84 mask
from the drop down and apply with invert mask data not checked.
Mask, delete, Layers, Merge visible.

  Copy frame 5, paste as a new layer

Effects, Photo Effex, Scanlines

1, 2, 20. 10, 0, 0 vertical toggle not checked, apply (optional)

Edit, 3 D Effects, Drop Shadow with these settings
4, 4, 60, 6, color black

Open tube of choice

With selection tool set on rectangle, Replace, 0 Feather, trace a rectangle around
the inner edge of the center frame

Copy tube, paste as a new layer as shown, Selections, invert, selections, float,
selections, defloat, using the eraser tool erase all the selected tube at bottom of frame

Select left end of frame in same way, copy, paste tube  (see my tag for placement)
Selections, Invert. Hit Del on the keyboard, drag below frame layer. 

Repeat on right end of the frame

Resize various elements from kit as desired (or as shown in my tag), copy each element,
paste as a new layer, drop shadow as before

Wit Celtic Hand font at 60, white stroke, 1, fill #2d5513 add name,  drop shadow as before.

 Image, Resize all layers to 600 X 428 pixels

Add copyright layer

That's it!  You're done
