Summer Beauty
This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP Supplies needed: PSP 12 (any version will work) Tube of choice. I am using the fantastic artwork of Keith Garvey. You can purchase his work at MPT Here Plugins: Xero Fritillery and Xero Porcelain (free plugin can be downloaded HERE Free scrap kit “Konfetti" by Hannah (included in the supplies) Mask montiblindsmask1 available at Montis Pixel Playground staple Font of choice. Open a new transparent image 750 X 650 pixels. We will resize later With your preset tool set on circle, width 36, and in your paint palette foreground set to white and background set to null, draw a circle about half the size of the canvass (see my tag). Draw 2 smaller circles in the same manner and overlap them as shown Add a drop shadow of choice to each layer (I used 2,2,70,5.00 X out all layers except the two smaller circles, Layers, merge visible. Make visible again With the large circle layer active, click with magic wand anywhere in the canvas, selections invert, selections float, selections defloat. Choose a paper from the kit and copy and paste it as a new layer. Hit Delete. Now you have paper on just the outer ring of the circle Repeat these instructions for the smaller circle twice making them active one at a time. Choose different colors for each circle if desired. Note that you have one white and one colored paper layer of each size in the layer panel. X out all layers but the two larger circles, make sure the colored paper is on top. and layers, merge visible. X out this layer and open a set of the smaller circles. Do the same and repeat again for the second circle. X out the bottom layer and , merge visible the remaining layers. With the magic wand and the template layer active click inside each of the three circles Selections, Modify. Expand by 5. Choose color of choice (I used #ffffef) and floodfill each of the circles. Click on paint layer and drag it below circle template layer, Keep painted layer active, apply effect, Zero, Fritillary at 5,30,10,0 Resize the staple and copy, paste as a new layer. Duplicate 5 times so there are six staples. Arrange two of them in 3 in pairs in 3 different places as though holding the circles together. Image, Rotate as necessary. X out all layers except the staple layers, layers merge, merge visible the staples With the magic wand click in the center of the 2 smaller circles. Images, Modify, Expand by 2, copy tube, paste as a new layer. Arrange in both circles at the same time. Selections, Invert, hit delete. Drop shadow as before Back to circle layer, click in large circle, Layers modify, expanf by 2, Resize tube by 180, copy and paste as a new layer. Select tube layer, select, invert, erase excess from the bottom of the tube. Leave the hair portion on top of the circle. Drop shadow as before Reduce opacity on this layer to 80. Apply effect, xero, porcelain with standard settings. Click on bottom layer, flood fill with white. Choose a paper from kit, resize and copy, paste, as a new layer. Layers, new mask layer, from image, apply monti blind mask with invert mask data checked. Mask delete, merge group. Resize bows, buttons, and flower. Use them to accessorize tag as desired. Add tube copyright Add name using font and color of choice. I used Pharmacy size 60 with a red from the tube as foreground and yellow from tube as background. Drop shadow 1.1.70.0 Save tag as a png and you're done. Thank you for trying my tut! |
