Teal Treats

This tutorial was written for those who

have a working knowledge of PSP

Supplies needed:

PSP 12 (any version will work)

Tube of choice. I am using the fantastic artwork of

Barbara Jensen. You can purchase her work HERE

In my second example I feature the wonderful work of Jennifer Janesko

Let's Begin

Open a new transparent image 750 X 600 pixels. We will resize later

Select doodle frame from scrap kit, copy and paste as a new layer

Resize by 120 percent.  Effects, Photo Effex, Scanlines with these settings 1,2,20,10,0,0, vertical toggle not checked.  Apply

Add a drop shadow of choice  (I used1,1,40,7.00)

With the magic wand click inside both frames, Selections, Modify, Expand by 6, choose paper from kit. copy, paste as a new layer, Invert, Hit delete.  Deselect.  Drag this layer beneath frame layer.

With the magic wand click in the center of the one frame. Images, Modify, Expand by 5, copy tube of choice, paste as a new layer. Arrange arrange as desired. Selections, Invert, hit delete. Drop shadow as before

Back to the frames layer click in center of second frame and repeat with second tube

Apply drop shadow as before on each tube layer

Choose bows, flowers and accessories, resize. copy, paste as a new layer.  Adjust sharpness, sharpen, add drop shadow to each layer as before

Click on bottom layer, flood fill with white. Choose a paper from kit, copy, paste, as a new layer. Layers, new mask layer, from image, apply monti blind mask with invert mask data checked. Mask delete, merge group.

Resize bows, buttons, and flower. Use them to accessorize tag as desired.

With the crop tool crop the tag so there is only about one inch of white space at the bottom, then resize to around 600 X 405 pixels (depending on crop amount)

Add tube copyright

Add name using font and color of choice. I used the font Nothing  size 48 with a dark teal from the paper as foreground and light teal from tube as background. Drop shadow 1.1.70.2

Save tag as a jpg and you're done.
