BE MINE VALENTINE
This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro. It was written by me on January 12, 2009 and comes from my own creativity. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidence
Supplies needed: PSP 9 (any version will work) Tube of choice. I am using the fantastic artwork of Suzanne Richards. You can purchase her work and a license to use it Here WSL_99 Mask Here Font of choice - I'm using Avatar Normal Plugins Needed:
1. Open mask on your desk top. Minimize till later. 2. Open a new image 600 pixels by 600 pixels. We will resize later. Flood fill with white 3. Add a new layer, flood fill with #7a0f09 4.
Layers, New Mask Layer from image, select the
WSL_99 Mask from the drop down and apply with invert mask data not checked.
6. In the materials palette make
the color of the stroke white and the fill null
5. In the tool palette select Preset Shapes, and choose Heart 1 shape as follows
In the layer palette R click, convert to Raster Layer. 8. In the materials Palette set the stroke color to #febcec and the fill color to #ed0799. Select gradient, and choose foreground,
background
Click on fill color to bring up options, Set like this
Flood fill heart with gradient 9. Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel
10. Effects, 3D Effects, Drop
Shadow
11. Effects, Plugins, DSB Flux, Bright Noise
12. Copy main tube, paste as a new layer. Resize as needed. Drop Shadow as before. 13. Use your font of choice (a
medium thick font works best) and font color #7a0f09 to add message
"Be My Valentine" 14. With your magic wand at these
settings 15. Effects, 3D Effects, Cutout on the new layer
Then apply cutout again at these settings
Finally Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow with the following settings
Select None
With preset shape tool on heart and
using color #7a0f09. Draw out a small heart as shown on my
tag. X out all layers except the 2 heart layers, Layers, Merge, Merge Visible Select inside each heart with magic
wand, add a new layer, then repeat Add copyright information X out background (white) layer. Save tag as a png.
