NOT PINK

I've been doing a lot of Valentine tags recently and needed a break from all the pink.
I achieved that with "Not Pink"

This tutorial was written for those who

have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro.  I have tried tp

provide enough screen shots so that the inexperienced will be successfl

It was written by me on January 15, 2009 and comes from my own creativity.

Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidence

Open mask on your desk top.  Minimize.

Open a new image 500 pixels by 500 pixels.  Flood fill with white

With a light grey color as the stroke color and the fill color NULL
draw out a rectangle

starting at coordinates (20,20) and ending at (175,350)
If you are not familiar with using coordinates they are not difficult at all.  Here's how.  Move your preset shape tool (or required tool) slowly back and forth and up and down on your canvas without clicking it.  If you look in the bottom right hand corner of your PSP program you will see a set of numbers changing as you move your tool around.

Those numbers are coordinates. (see above)  Line up your preset selection tool at the first set of coordinates given in the directions, then click then drag down and to the right till you find your second set of coordinates.  Release to finish.

In the layer palette R click, convert to Raster Layer.

Duplicate this layer in the layer palette.  Image, Mirror

Image, Canvas Size, Resize as follows

Draw out another rectangle below the first two at coordinates using coordinates (40,400) and (515,535)

With the magic wand, click inside the first rectangle to select, Selections, Modify, Expand by 2, Copy paper from kit (I used paper 17), resize to 500 X 500 pixels,  paste as a new layer.  Selections Invert, hit delete on your keyboard.  Drag this layer below frame layer.  Repeat these instructions for each of the next 2 rectangles.

With the magic wand click inside the first frame, Selections, Modify, Expand by 2, Copy paper from kit (I used paper 1), resize to 500 X 500 pixels,  paste as a new layer.  Selections Invert, hit delete on your keyboard.   Repeat these instructions for each of the next 2 frames.

Select inside the left upper frame again, copy your first tube, paste as a new layer.  Arrange as you like it.  Selections, Invert, Hit delete on keyboard

Repeat in R upper frame.

Copy third tube, paste as a new layer in between the two frames.  (see mine)

Drop shadow as above on all layers

Select Raster 1 in the layer palette (white background layer)

Copy paper of choice (I used paper 3), paste as a new layer

Layers, New Mask Layer from image, select the bk Mask from the drop down

and apply with invert mask data not checked.Mask, delete, Layers, Merge visible.

Open polka dot alpha.  Resize by 80 percent 2 times, then by 90 percent

Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize
