Call Me

This tutorial was written for those who

have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro.

It was written by me on January 17, 2009 and comes from my own creativity.

Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidence

Supplies needed:

PSP 9 (any version will work)

2 Tubes of choice.   I am using the fantastic artwork of

Keith Garvey.  You can purchase his work and a license to use it  Here

Scrap Kit  "With Love" by MzPimptress.   Download it Here

WSL_Mask294 Here

Font of choice

Open mask on your desk top.  Minimize till later.

Open a new image 600 X 600 pixels

Add a new layer

Choose the preset shape tool shape in the tool palette, settings as shown below

Draw out a long narrow rectangle.  Use coordinates (80,70) and (265,520) so that your rectangle will be the same as mine.

If you are not familiar with using coordinates they are not difficult at all. Here's how.  In you materials palette make the stroke color a light grey and your fill color Null.  Move your preset shape tool (or required tool) slowly back and forth and up and down on your canvas without clicking it. If you look in the bottom right hand corner of your PSP program you will see a set of numbers changing as you move your tool around. Those numbers are coordinates. Line up your preset selection tool at the first set of coordinates given in the directions, then click then drag down and to the right till you find your second set of coordinates. Release to finish.

In the layer palette R click on vector layer and convert to Raster Layer

Select the frame of the first rectangle with the magic wand, selections, modify, expand by 1

Copy paper of choice (I used pp02), and paste as a new layer.  Selections, Invert, Hit delete on keyboard
(now only the frame will be papered)

Deselect, Effects, 3D effects, Inner Bevel at these settings

Repeat on the frame of the second rectangle

Select inside the first frame, copy another paper from the kit (I chose pp07), paste as a new layer.  Selections, Modify, Expand by 2,
Selections Invert, Hit delete on the keyboard.  Drag this layer below the frame layer.

Repeat on second rectangle

Copy main tube of choice, paste as a new layer.  Effects, 3D, Drop Effects as follows

Add second main tube in same manner

Select Raster 1 in the layer palette.  Flood fill with white

Choose another paper from your kit, copy, paste as a new layer  (I used pp06)

Layer, New, Mask Layer from image.   Find the WSL_Mask 294 and apply.  Layer, delete, yes to the question. And merge group

Hide the white background layer and resize all layers to 500 X 500 pixels

Open tied 1, Image, Resize by 50 percent.  Copy, paste as a new layer

Open satin bow 01, resize by eight percent, then by 90 percent, copy, paste as a new layer

Open bling swirl pink, resize by 50 percent, then 85 percent.  Copy, paste as a new layer moving to the bottom and left sides.  Layer, duplicate, Image, Mirror, Image, Flip. move in place on the right side.

Word Art (optional)

In the material palette set the stroke color at white and the fill color #9d2f53

I used Arial Black size 14, stroke 1

on the left side I added text saying "I'll be all you want...all you need"

on the right side "I'll be your love..your hot desire"

on the bottom "All you need to do is Call"

Add name with font of choice
